BC Transit/ HandyDART
BC Transit has a fleet of Low Floor Buses that are capable of kneeling to allow access to wheelchair and scooter passengers. They also offer a HandyDART Service that provides door-to-door transportation service for people who cannot use regular transit. The cost for this service is the same as regular bus fare. HandyDART requires 2 days, minimum, 2 weeks recommeded, notice for a reservation including details of pick-up/drop-off times.

Empress has 2 Taxi Vans equipped with a ramp. Passengers can roll in and stay seated in wheelchair. Cost is the same as regular taxi fare. One-day advance notice is recommended.

Blue Bird Cabs Ltd.
Partially Accessible.
In May of 2002, BlueBird Cabs Ltd. have 8 "handicapped accessible" (wheelchair accessible) dual purpose taxis (vans with ramp). These vehicles operate as both an accessible taxi and/or a regular taxi. with preferencial service given for those who are unable to transfer from their wheelchair to a vehicle seat.
